Director of Infrastructure and Operations
Our Client
Markets, sells and
manages various timeshare and permanent ownership resorts. They have
resorts in Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Florida at
this time. All resorts are connected to the corporate office and IT
functions are centralized. They have 2 remote call centers in the D/FW area
and two small call centers in their corporate office. Our client is a
publicly traded company. Additional information is available online and will

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a very strategic
person who can manager the areas of Infrastructure and Operations (AS400
operations, Telecommunications, Desktop Support and Network Support).
The ideal candidate should have some experience in all areas but needs
to be particularly strong in tow or three of them. The IBM AS400
iSeries is our client's primary computing platform, as all their mission
critical applications run on it. The telecommunications area manages
the Siemens PBX systems and the Avaya predictive dialers. The
networking area manages Novell and Windows networks, desktop support and
SAN’s.
The director will need to manage all
these areas and will be guiding our client through the next level of
strategic improvements. This will involve:

Working with each area to evaluate
procedures to increase service levels

VoIP options
-
Infrastructure improvements and
Networking operating systems upgrades and enhancements
-
PCI and SOX related security and
compliance
-
Vendor negotiations
Our client is a very dynamic company
that needs someone who can work to plan, manage, and complete multiple
projects that the business requires to take advantage of many sales and
marketing opportunities. This is a very exciting and manageable job for
someone who plans well and makes use of the resources available to him
or her.
Requirements
Candidate must have
the following experience:
- 3+ years
experience managing the AS400 platform
- Strong background
in networking technology (LAN and WAN)
- Strong background
with Siemens PBX
- Experience with
predictive dialer technology
- Experience
managing an operation group
- Experience with
SOX compliance
- At least one
conversion from Novell to Microsoft NOS
- Experience with
SAN technology
- Experience
managing a small desktop support group
- Experience with
VoIP implementations
The candidate must be
willing and able to work in a fast paced business environment that requires
efficient and creative solutions to business needs. The candidate must be
able to manage multiple projects and evaluate project change impacts to
project schedules.
