Senior IT Auditor


Our Client:

A nationally recognized top 10 Mortgage Lender with national presence.

 

The Opportunity:

The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for performing and/or assisting in the completion of the technology audit projects as assigned.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Obtain, organize, and present evidential matter as to the reliability and adequacy of the internal control systems.

  • Assist with the preparation of reports to senior management assessing the effectiveness of the overall system control environment.

  • Assist with the evaluation of controls, which may include, but is not limited to, system transaction testing, observation and the interviewing of appropriate personnel from the ITG department or the associated business unit to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of the processing results.

  • Perform pre- and post-implementation audits of broker/dealer and mortgage banking applications.

  • Prepare and document work papers according to the Audit Department standards.

  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the risk potential in the area audited.
    Organize audit findings in a manner that will aid in the preparation of the audit report.

  • Draft audit reports that incorporate significant IT audit findings.

  • Understand the Internal Audit Department’s audit methodology as explained in this manual.

  • Strive to complete assigned audit tasks within the amount of time allotted.

Requirements:

  • Education

    Must have a college degree. Emphasis on Information Systems preferred.

    CIA or CISA a plus.

  • Experience

    • Must have at least 3-5 years of Internal or External IT Audit experience in a service related industry

    • Ability to present a professional image and demeanor to internal and external customers

    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers

    • Advanced knowledge of PCs and related software such as Excel, Access, and Word

    • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to handle confidential material

    • Mortgage Industry experience preferred
